It's 9:30 on Friday night - do you know where your parents are?

Here's a quick update: Faithful poster Lisa is enroute this weekend to Memphis, where she'll be pole danc. . .er, representing TennisWorld at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships. We will be publishing a Memphis Diary starting Sunday or Monday, from the tournament that is - theoretically, at this point - the comeback event for two fixtures of the pro tour in recent years, Venus Williams and Nicolas the Malcontent Kiefer. Let's see what Lisa kills and slaps on the table. If you have any questions for her, post them below.

This is the Off-Topic thread for the weekend as well, just in case you're not that into watching Andy Roddick hit 123 aces per match on his drive to bag the San Jose title. To kick off the OT discussion, I was just wondering this morning what five discs I would take on a cross-country drive in a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle (the slow way). Note, this has nothing to do with the GOAT band debate. Here are my choices, in no particular order:

1- Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers: Stations of the Cross - The rock 'n roll equivalent of a train wreck, and it's Live! Never heard nothin better than the signature JT version of the Ventures Pipeline. I've heard it. A lot.

2 - Michael Martin Murphey: Cowboy Songs - Call me crazy.

3 - The Replacements: Pleased to Meet Me - Paul Westerburg, the Mats Wilander lookalike, is my favorite pop songwriter.

4 -  NWA, Straight Outta Compton - The energy is extraordinary.

5 - The Cowboy Junkies: Studio  - Okay, they're neither. Just love the whole disc - every moment. The chica has an amazing voice, and I'm not even that into amazing voices.

Well  that's how I feel today. 'bout you?   Great weekend, everyone!
