Top 5 Photos, US Open Day 6: Zverev claws out win; Nadal's giant grin

The first week at the US Open neared its close on Saturday and things are getting really interesting. Here are the Top 5 photos from Day 6 of the New York major.

1. It's been a complicated week for Alexander Zverev, but the German is still alive after posting a 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 6-3, 7-6 (3) victory over Aljaz Bedene. Despite continued struggles with his serve, seven double faults didn't stop him from finding a way to win. Zverev will play in his first career round of 16 match at the US Open against Diego Schwartzman or Tennys Sandgren.

2. Although Bianca Andreescu appeared to be frustrated at times in her third-round match against Caroline Wozniacki, the Canadian secured her second-week spot with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Andreescu selected the right shots without overplaying to keep a perfect 2-0 head-to-head record against the 2018 Australian Open winner. The 19-year-old is on a hot streak this hard-court season, capturing the WTA title in Toronto and now reaching her first round of 16 at a Grand Slam.

3. Rafael Nadal walked onto the court ready for a challenging battle against qualifier Hyeon Chung, who is roaring back from injury. On Chung, Nadal stated in a pre-match interview, "I know it will be a very dangerous one." However, the Spaniard had full control and defeated the former Australian Open semifinalist, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2, to move into the fourth round for the 11th time at the US Open.

4. Kristie Ahn hadn't claimed a single Grand Slam main draw match before she stepped out on the courts in New York as a wild card earlier in the week. On Saturday, Ahn continued her inspiring run, defeating Jelena Ostapenko, 6-3, 7-5, to move into the second week. The world No. 141 captured the US Open Wild Card Challenge after her quarterfinal run in San Jose and is showing everyone what perseverance can do.

5. Top seeds Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal snuck past Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, to win their eighth consecutive Grand slam match. The Colombians recently captured their first Grand Slam title on the grass courts of Wimbledon, defeating Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in an epic five-set clash. The pair is having an exceptional season, as they seek their fifth title of 2019.
