Top three WTA seeds out before French QF for first time in Open Era

With Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova's upset of No. 3 Vera Zvonareva, it is the first time in the Open Era in which none of the tournament's top three women's seeds have reached the French Open quarterfinals. No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki lost in the third round and No. 2 Kim Clijsters lost in the second round.
