Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is in doubt for the U.S. Open, with L'Equipe reporting that the knee injury he sustained at Wimbledon has not yet healed.

Tsonga developed a problem in the patella tendon of his left knee in the Wimbledon quarterfinals against Andy Murray. MRIs show the injury has improved but has not healed completely. Tsonga was initially expected to be out for up to six to eight weeks.

The Frenchman will undergo a final test the week before the U.S. Open before deciding whether to pull out of the year's last Grand Slam.
