Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has pulled out of next week's event in Rotterdam with an abdominal injury. Tsonga said he sustained the injury in the fourth round of the Australian Open, and continued to experience the problem in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
"Tests showed a small tear of two centimeters," Tsonga said on his official website. "I don't want to take any risks.
The Frenchman expects to be able to defend his title at Marseille the following week. "I hope to return to practicing at the beginning of next week, leving aside the serve."
