Following Dunlop's announcement earlier this week that it had signed world No. 6 Nikolay Davydenko to a "racquet, clothing and accessories" deal, Prince has issued a release saying that Davydenko agreed in January to a "formal deal to have the 28 year-old Russian continue to use and promote Prince racquets and racquet bags exclusively throughout the year."

At Indian Wells this week, Davydenko is wearing Dunlop clothing and using a blacked-out Prince racquet with the manufacturer's logo hidden. Players black out or paint their racquets when they do not have a racquet endorsement deal or choose to play with a frame not made by the company with which they have an endorsement.
