Two tennis players on the Cuban Davis Cup team have defected to the United States, reports news website Cafefuerte.
Randy Blanco, 21, and Ernesto Alfonso, 24, were said to have left the team's tie in Puerto Rico and arrived in Miami.
"A source close to the Cuban Tennis Federation confirmed that Blanco and Alfonso were not part of the group that returned on Monday to the island," said the report, which was cited by Spanish news agency EFE.
