Donald Young vs Peter Polansky
11 AM ET, Tennis Channel

After losing the first set 6-0 to Simone Bolelli yesterday, Donald Young bounced back in a big way; he is now just one match away from qualifying for his 14th consecutive US Open. At 29 years old, Donald Young has made it to New York every September for half his life, an astonishing feat. How can you bet against such an amazing streak? Expect more heroics from the talented lefty and another berth in the main draw.

Nicole Gibbs vs Olga Govortsova
11 AM ET, Tennis Channel

Nicole Gibbs has yet to drop a set in qualifying, she looks right at home on the quick hard courts of Flushing Meadows. Gibbs will have her work cut out for her against former world No. 35 Govortsova, who returned to the tour after giving birth to her son in February.  This match is a toss up, but I expect the new mother to prevail and earn her family $54,000 in what is the largest first-round payout in tennis history.

Eugenie Bouchard vs Jamie Loeb
2nd on Court 11 (Approx. 1 PM ET), Tennis Channel

Understandably, Eugenie Bouchard has been the main attraction thus far in qualifying, playing every match in front of a standing room only crowd. The Canadian has lost just four total games thus far. But she will lose more than that against the clean hitting Loeb, who loves to step up in the court and rip to the corners. Expect plenty of winners and flat hitting in this matchup with the former world No. 5 advancing in a possible three-set battle.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Gerald Melzer
Not Before 3 PM ET, Tennis Channel

It doesn’t appear anything will stand between the 18-year old Canadian sensation and his first appearance in the US Open main draw. Aliassime may possess the best forehand in the qualifying tournament; he is breaking opponents down with a rare combination of power and consistency. If Melzer can find Felix’s backhand he may win a set, but the Canadian is well on his way to the US Open first round and probably even further if he lands in the right part of the draw.
