Good evening. Our last Crisis Center post is again weighted down with 1000+ comments, so to make posting easier, please continue your conversations about the tennis at Flushing Meadows right here. After the day's tennis is over, it's OK to drift off-topic - otherwise, we'd be grateful if you could stick to tennis talk.

In the WTA draw, today saw yet another upset, as number 28 seed Katarina Srebotnik disposed of the number three seed and former Champion, Svetlana Kuznetsova, in three sets. Jelena Jankovic survived two tight sets with Jie Zheng; Li Na and Caroline Wozniacki also reached the fourth round.

Among the men, Tommy Haas succumbed in a five-setter to Gilles Muller, and Marin Cilic progressed in four tough sets against Robby Ginepri. Meanwhile, Fernando Verdasco came through a five-setter against Rui Machado. Other seeds including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Fernando Gonzalez, Nicolas Almagro and Nikolay Davydenko progressed in straight sets.

This evening's programme on Arthur Ashe stadium began with number 22 seed and former Champion  Lindsay Davenport taking on number 12 seed Marion Bartoli. Rain has delayed the match, but the players are now warming up to resume, with Bartoli leading 4-1. Afterwards, the match between Andy Roddick and Ernests Gulbis could prove interesting.

Enjoy the rest of the evening's tennis.
