Coming off a title run in Barcelona, Fernando Verdasco calls Rafael Nadal “one of the best players of all time and the best Spaniard of all time.” Verdasco also tells La Marca that he would define himself as “very powerful and talented.”
The world No. 9 admits that it will be difficult for him to crack the year-end Top 5, but adds that it will be tough to predict anyone in that group.
“Federer has not done much in the last [three] Masters Series, Nadal is not at his best yet, but will find his top form, and Murray and Djokovic have been pretty weak. If I had to bet, I would say: Federer, Nadal, Murray, Djokovic and, fifth, Roddick or Del Potro.”—M.C.
