One of the fastest-rising talents in women's tennis is reportedly linking up with one of the best coaches in the game.

Ben Rothenberg of Bounces reported this week that Canada's Victoria Mboko has begun working with Wim Fissette on a trial basis, according to the Belgian coach himself.

The partnership was confirmed by the eye test days later, as videos of Mboko practicing under Fissette's watchful eye at the Internationaux de Strasbourg made the rounds on social media.

The eye-popping partnership comes during what has been an underwhelming clay-court season for Mboko, who only played one match across Madrid and Rome before taking a late wild card into the WTA 500 in Strasbourg ahead of Roland Garros.

After back-to-back quarterfinal appearances in Indian Wells and Miami, Mboko withdrew from Canada's Billie Jean King Cup tie in mid-April due to getting her wisdom teeth removed. She then lost her opening match at the Mutua Madrid Open to Caty McNally, and withdrew from the Internazionali BNL d'Italia with gastrointestinal illness.

Fissette, meanwhile, saw his two-year partnership with Iga Swiatek end after the Sunshine Double. The Pole was the latest in a long line of high-profile charges for Fissette, a group which also includes Grand Slam champions like Kim Clijsters, Naomi Osaka and Victoria Azarenka, as well as Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen.
