Video: Kuznetsova tries hit-the-bottle trick shot

It was sub-Federerian—not that that was real—but a giggling, loquacious Svetlana Kuznetsova certainly one-upped Serena Williams in the trick-shot department.

After Serena nearly assassinated her hitting partner, Sascha Bajin, the Artist Forever Known as Sveta gave her guy a more precise hit. Watch it here:

Let's hope that Kuznetsova takes that close call into her Australian Open campaign. After losing 16-14 in the third set at the 2011 Aussie, in the wake of wasting six match points in her epic encounter with Francesca Schiavone, she's due for a deep run. You'd think the karmic quality of being such a vibrant, fun person would eventually find her. We'll see.
