VIDEO: Nadal blasts back three straight Karlovic serves

We get it: Rafael Nadal has had a 2015 season to mourn. That's a byproduct of his own lofty standards in winning 14 major singles titles to date. Even so, he claims his attitude and confidence are better than they have been for many months, this in a year that saw him lose at every major for the first time since 2004. If his fresh resolve is to be believed, consider these Exhibits A through C:

That's right. Against Ivo Karlovic, recently crowned the all-time aces champ on the ATP World Tour, Nadal slapped three consecutive serve-return winners to seize what was really a must-win game. In doing so, he evened the first set against Dr. Ivo at 5-all, taking the next two games and the set as well ahead of a 7-5, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4) victory. A truly Karlovician score line, that, and a good look at Nadal's newly restored vigor to win.
