On Sunday, 30-year-old Adrian Mannarino overpowered Jordan Thompson in the Libema Open, 7-6 (7), 6-3, to claim his first career ATP title.
Mannarina was contesting his first final of the season, his seventh overall. Before entering Libema, he had a 2019 losing record, winning only six of his 13 matches.
It was a breakthrough tournament for Thompson, too, who had never reached the semifinals of a tour-level event.
