Novak Djokovic is the best tennis player in the world, and he’s apparently a very effective wingman, too.

The Serb, who has found himself at the center of controversy this week, did a fan a solid at the Miami Open in Key Biscayne. After a practice session, he assisted a young man in securing a prom date.

The fan held out a sign that read, “Nole, would you please help me with my ‘promposal?’”

Djokovic obliged, and the mission was an unquestionable success.

“Rebecca, will you go to prom with Ricardo?” the charming 11-time Grand Slam champion asked the young girl as she screamed with excitement.

She gladly accepted, and the world No. 1 gave the teenagers a hearty, congratulatory hug. (For the record, it sure seemed like Rebecca was more into Djokovic than her prom date, but can you blame her? We’re sure they’ll have a memorable evening.)

A job well done by Djokovic, who lent a helping hand despite Ricardo blatantly wearing a Roger Federer hat in his presence.

As far as tennis goes, Djokovic is coming off a dominant win over Milos Raonic in the Indian Wells final, and he’s looking for a three-peat in South Florida.

After receiving a first-round bye in Key Biscayne, he’ll begin his title defense against world No. 87 Kyle Edmund in the second round on Friday.
