WATCH: Taylor Fritz ranks Wimbledon double header among best matches of 2025

Taylor Fritz became the latest to step to the board and rank his best matches thus far in 2025, though the challenge may have come a month too early given his Laver Cup heroics only last week.

“It's amazing to just do it for the team,” Fritz said after scoring back-to-back Top 3 wins over Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev to secure a third victory for Team World. “And a great feeling to clinch it in the end. It really just kind of is like the perfect end to a great week.”

Still, the American won numerous memorable matches through the first seven months of the season, giving him plenty to choose from.

“I’m not going to do this based off how well I think I played in the match. I’m going to do it just on the quality of the match to watch,” noted Fritz, famed for his no-nonsense tennis analysis.

Starting the year off with on a high note, Fritz zeroed in on his United Cup victory over Poland, winning his first of two team competitions in 2025.

“That was a big match,” Fritz said of his straight-sets win against Hubert Hurkacz.

Fritz played some of his best tennis of the year on grass, making his Stuttgart final versus Alexander Zverev an obvious pick.

“First title of the year,” smiled Fritz.

Before going on to reach his first Wimbledon semifinal, Fritz was made to through five-setters in his first two matches against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Gabriel Diallo. Unable to choose, Fritz added both to his list.
