Mornin', folks. A few notes to get your day started. I have to wrap up a few writing chores for the mothership, Tennis magazine, today. I have some interesting stuff I want to share with you, now that I've reviewed and transcribed the notes and tape on my meeting with Cliff Drysdale. If I don't post on that today, I will tomorrow - for sure.
A quick note on the upcoming Roger Federer-Pete Sampras exo in Madison Square Garden. Quite a few of you will be attending, and we will definitely come up with a place to gather in Manhattan, for a few pre-and/or-post match pops. We will try to find something near the Garden, so if any of you New York-area fans have any ideas, or just want to let us know you plan to attend, feel free to post a comment. As the event draws near, I'll post further details and we can take a proper head count etc.
Now, to Dubai. I am still skeptical about the theory that TW is intentionally blocked as an act of censorship, but I haven't ruled it out entirely - partly because of what Doug wrote in one of his missives:
Doug is trying to get some answers about this, and I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, gather round the Watercooler and talk about tennis to your heart's content.
