Who will be competing at Indian Wells?

Pretty much everyone in the Top 100, on both tours. As the first combined 1000-level tournament of the season, the best players prioritize the BNP Paribas Open.

On the men's side, expect to see Australian Open champion Carlos Alcaraz, his top rival Jannik Sinner, 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic and all the top Americans—including Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Learner Tien—vying for the title. Jack Draper is the defending champion.

On the women's side, Aussie Open champ Elena Rybakina, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek will make their way to the California desert—along with a legendary name: Venus Williams. The 45-year-old icon will be joined by fellow Americans Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula (who just won a WTA 1000 title in Dubai), Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys in a loaded field.​ Mirra Andreeva is the defending champion.

When are the draws revealed?

On Monday, March 2 at 6 pm ET, the BNP Paribas Open Main Draw Reveal presented by Tennis Channel will let fans and players know the all-important first-round matchups, and the various paths to the later rounds.

Why is the doubles tournament so special?

That aforementioned icon, Venus, will be doing double duty: she's entered in doubles with Leylah Fernandez. The BNP Paribas Open has become something of a doubles showcase, and this year will be no different. The tournament often brings together a mix of the world’s best doubles teams, and duos compromised of either two singles competitors, or a doubles specialist with a singles standout.

On the men's side, Daniil Medvedev and Learner Tien will team up—and the Russian’s good friends, Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev, are set to run it back at Indian Wells for the fourth consecutive year. Alexander Bublik and Rajeev Ram, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Sebastian Korda and the U.S. tandem of Brandon Nakashima and Frances Tiafoe are also set to compete. (And one of the biggest head-turners was over on the alternates column: none other than world No. 2 Jannik Sinner next to Reilly Opelka.)

What is the Eisenhower Cup?

The BNP Paribas Open offers fans more than just the opportunity to see the best tennis players come together for the season’s first combined 1000-level tournament.

The Eisenhower Cup, a Tie Break Tens event, has emerged as a fan favorite in Indian Wells since evolving into a mixed doubles showcase. The latest edition returns on Tuesday, March 3, inside Stadium 2, with a mix of familiar duos and new combinations making up the eight-team field.
