Which celebrities does Mirra Andreeva want to see at Wimbledon?

Mirra Andreeva brings plenty of star power to every match she plays, and the teenager is eager to see that stardom reflected in the crowd as she prepares for her fourth round at Wimbledon.

“First of all, if we pick from tennis players I would really like to see Roger [Federer] or Andy [Murray] watching my match. It would mean the world for me,” Andreeva said when asked if she hopes to see any celebs in the stands. “Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to play on Centre Court yet, but I hope I’m going to get there.

“From celebrities, maybe I would choose…I really like Ryan Gosling. If, one day, he comes to London to watch Wimbledon, I would really love for him to come for my match. I also saw that John Cena was here, Olivia Rodrigo was here. So, you know, anyone who wants to come, just come. I’ll be super excited to see that you watched my match.”

Andreeva was fresh off a Court No. 1 win over American Hailey Baptiste to match a career-best result at SW19, having reaching the fourth round as a 16-year-old.

“I think that I’m getting more confidence with every match I play. I feel like today was one of the best matches I played so far at Wimbledon because I felt like I was so focused since the beginning of the match until the very end.

“I’m proud of myself for that, that I stayed focus and kept on doing the things I needed to do to win. If I continue to play like this, I hope I can advance a little bit further in the tournament, and then we’ll see how it’s going to go.”

Encouraged by coach Conchita Martinez—with an assist from former champion-turned-TC Analyst Martina Navratilova—Andreeva has been employing a more aggressive result on grass courts in 2025, approaching the net 19 times against Baptiste to advance in one hour and 18 minutes on Saturday.

“I just told myself to go for my shots and as soon as I had an opportunity to step in, to follow through and finish the point at the net,” said Andreeva, adding with a laugh, “I think today was the first volley that I missed, so I was super disappointed with myself!”

Asked how if she would sign up to coach a player like herself, Andreeva charmingly pitched herself as a model student—her year-plus tenure with Martinez evidence that she’s easy to work with.

“I think more yes because I feel like most of the times I bring a good energy on the practice court and the match court, as well. I feel like I’m pretty easy to coach, although obviously there are days when I’m being cocky and grumpy. Those days, I really got to give credit to Conchita for handling the situation well.

“Overall, I can say that probably I would like to coach myself, but for now we’re going to leave it to Conchita. I think she’s doing a good enough job with that!”

Seeded No. 7 at the All England Club, Andreeva will next face No. 10 seed Emma Navarro, who dethroned defending champion Barbora Krejcikova from a set down earlier in the afternoon. Should the pair land on Centre Court, all eyes will be on who is watching from the Royal Box.
