Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic will kick off his chase for major title No. 24 Monday afternoon on Centre Court against Argentina’s Pedro Cachin.

Coming off his historic Roland Garros triumph, Djokovic is seeded No. 2 at the grass-court major. His path to victory could include a matchup with Stan Wawrinka in the third round and 2021 semifinalist Hubert Hurkacz in the fourth round.

Potential quarterfinalists include seventh seed Andrey Rublev, Halle champion Alexander Bublik and the man Djokovic defeated in last year’s championship clash, Nick Kyrgios. The Australian has played just one match this season coming in.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz meets Jeremy Chardy to start his campaign. The Spaniard then faces the winner of Alexandre Muller and Arthur Rinderknech, who gave the Spaniard plenty to handle during his Queen’s Club title run last week.

Sixth seed Holger Rune is the highest-ranked competitor in Alcaraz’s section. Tenth seed Frances Tiafoe, No. 15 seed Alex de Minaur and No. 19 seed Alexander Zverev are also here, along with 2021 runner-up Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Sonego who square off in an all-Italian opener.

The lone entrant with a grass-court victory over Djokovic to his name is Andy Murray. If the two-time titlist gets past compatriot Ryan Peniston, a showdown with the winner of a first-rounder between fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem awaits.

The second quarter, led by No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev, features 2022 semifinalist Cameron Norrie and six Americans including No. 16 seed Tommy Paul, No. 22 seed Sebastian Korda and No. 32 seed Ben Shelton.

Elsewhere, two-time Roland Garros finalist and No. 4 seed Casper Ruud plays qualifier Laurent Lokoli. Eighth seed Jannik Sinner commences with Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
