Elena Rybakina vs. Madison Keys

🤜 Head to Head: Tied 3-3 (1-1 in 2025)

  • Rybakina d. Keys 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-2—Cincinnati round of 16
  • Keys d. Rybakina 6-3, 1-6, 6-3—Australian Open fourth round

Rybakina punched her ticket to the semifinals with a convincing comeback over Swiatek on Day 3. After dropping the first set, the Kazakh took 12 of the next 13 games in a stunning reversal that snapped a four-match losing streak to Swiatek.

On the same day it was Keys who was on the wrong end of a momentum swing. She held a set and a break lead over Anisimova before dropping 12 of the next 15 games. The loss eliminated Keys and sent Rybakina into the semifinals.

Which means pride will be the biggest prize being played for in this match.

Rybakina has been riding a hot streak—eight straight match wins—and will want to keep her form and momentum going into the knockout round. Whereas Keys will seek to end a season which started with her first Grand Slam title in Australia on a positive note.

HIGHLIGHTS: Elena Rybakina regroups to beat Iga Swiatek | 2025 WTA Finals RR

Iga Swiatek vs. Amanda Anisimova

🤜 Head to Head: Tied 1-1 (1-1 in 2025)

  • Swiatek d. Anisimova 6-0, 6-0—Wimbledon finals
  • Anisimova d. Swiatek 6-4, 6-3—US Open semifinals

Swiatek and Anisimova square off in a winner-take-all match of the day. Both players arrive with 1-1 records after two matches in group play, with a spot in the semifinals hanging in the balance. Swiatek limps in after a head-scratching, three-set collapse against Rybakina in which she committed 36 unforced errors over the last two sets. Conversely, Anisimova carries positive momentum after rallying from a set down to beat Keys.

The pair played two high-stakes matches earlier this year. Swiatek scored the first blow by rolling a double-bagel on Anisimova in the Wimbledon finals. The American countered with a straight-set win in the US Open semifinals. Riyadh is the rubber match.

Neither of their prior meetings produced much in the way of drama. Perhaps the third time will be the charm. Get the popcorn ready.
