Greetings, for the second time today. I somehow doubt that I'm the only Tribe member to have grabbed a few hours worth of sleep after business was finished in Shanghai for the day.
We now move towards the climax of the women's year-ending Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid, the final between Justine Henin and Maria Sharapova. As these are the two players who have turned in the most consistent performances of the week, each with an unblemished record in winning matches (with the loss of just one set by Sharapova in her first match against Svetlana Kuznetsova, and none lost by Henin) it seems fitting that they should meet today.
Please use this thread for match-calling discussing the women's final, and any other general tennis-related matters that crop up today (such as, will Bjorn Borg ever beat John McEnroe again? Not in Belgium last night, when MeEnroe took their match 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 in the Champions' tiebreak).
Here's hoping for a competitive final. As always, enjoy the tennis, everyone.
