Good morning. As usual, please use this space for discussing today's tennis. Earlier on, world number 80 Victor Hanescu defeated Igor Andreev in Gstaad, to claim his first ATP title. In Bastad, Tommy Robredo took the title over Tomas Berdych. In Stuttgart, Juan Martin Del Potro has just won his first career title, beating Richard Gasquet 6-4, 7-5. And in the WTA, Alize Cornet has won in Budapest, over Andrea Klepac, 7-6, 6-3 - Cornet's first title. The singles final in Palermo, later today, pits Sara Errani against Mariya Koryttseva - and neither of these two has yet won a singles title.
Later today, I'll be watching the final in Newport between defending champion Fabrice Santoro and Prakash Amritraj. Santoro claimed his 450th career singles win yesterday. World number 305 Amritraj, son of Vijay (who was looking on yesterday) has spent most of his career playing Challengers and Futures events, and had only scored four wins on the ATP tour before this week (two of those were in Newport last year). The possibility therefore exists that we could see five new title-holders today.
I've uploaded more pictures from my time spent at Wimbledon this year - this link goes to a web gallery containing pictures of Venus Williams, Fabrice Santoro and Andy Murray, while here are the pictures taken of Rafael Nadal during his match with Mikhail Youzhny.
