Former Top 10 player Nicole Vaidisova is playing the second event of her comeback at this week's $50,000 ITF Pro Circuit event in Las Vegas.

She defeated Alexa Glatch to reach the second round, and told the USTA that she is still finding her way back.

"I struggled a little bit, and it was tough for a first match,” Vaidisova said. “It’s just too early to assess. After four years, it’s just so tough to get the hang of it and get back into it mentally.

"It’s been a long journey of surgery after surgery. But I was happy just to be back on the court. I never expected to be out for as long as I was."

The 25-year-old Czech, who had retired four years ago, also reached the second round of her first tournament back, an ITF Pro Circuit event two weeks ago.
