Aleksandra Woznaik says she is ready to return to the WTA tour. The 27-year-old has not played since undergoing shoulder surgery 11 months ago.

"I am happy to tell you guys that I am coming back to competition after a long period of time," she said, on Facebook. "I worked very hard to make this return possible after having shoulder surgery."

But the former No. 21 did not specify where her return would be, saying, "I am excited for my first tournament."

The Canadian began training just before Wimbledon.
