Fourhand is the Daily Spin's occasional roundup of various hits and misses on tour.

YOU'RE KIDDING  Eleven years ago, Connor Hance starred in a Genworth Financial commercial alongside Taylor Dent, with cameo appearances by Andre Agassi and Stefanie (then Steffi) Graf. Now? He's No. 686 on the ITF Junior circuit and is playing on the ATP Challenger Tour, most recently in Fairfield, Connecticut. Flash back to that TV ad:

VENUS REDUX  Selma director Ava DuVernay snagged the cover spot for Elle's November issue, in which she speaks to her documentary film, Venus Vs., about Venus Williams' fight for equal prize money in her sport. Therein, DuVernay says, “It was fascinating to really explore Venus Williams as the first of her kind, the first to break down the wall—so young, so graceful, so gracious, so at the top of her game.” (For a refresher about the film, see espnW's take.)

SOAR-APOVA  Maria Sharapova chronicled for Twitter her private plane travel to the WTA Tour's season-ending championships in Singapore. She flew (what else?) Singapore Air, that on the heels of her recent Chanel Air flight for Paris Fashion Week activities. Tennis stars: Sometimes they're not like us. Not at all.

INTO THE ETHER  The ATP World Tour's perennial pot-stirrer, Sergiy Stakhovsky, took a shot on Oct. 15 at Eugenie Bouchard and her litigation against the USTA that hardly endeared him to many fans. What's more, the engagement on his post, a paltry 15 retweets, reflects a seemingly low level of concern about what he says. It looks like he's largely speaking to himself.
