BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) Top-seeded Simona Halep swept past sixth-seeded Danka Kovinic of Montenegro 6-4, 6-2 to reach the Bucharest Open semifinals on Friday.

Halep didn't face a break point. In a bid for her second home title, and second WTA title of the year, she faces Vania King of the U.S. next.

King defeated Pauline Parmentier of France 6-3, 6-1, saving all 12 break points she faced.

No. 2 Sara Errani was knocked out by No. 7 Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia 7-6 (4), 6-3 despite landing 96 percent of her first serves. Errani still double-faulted once, lost all three of her second-serve points, and was broken three times.

Sevastova will face fourth-seeded Laura Siegemund of Germany for a spot in the final. Siegemund beat Polona Hercog of Slovenia 6-2, 6-1.
