Some notable players on the ATP and WTA tours are trying something new in regard to equipment in 2017

Players who have switched racquets during the offseason include Agnieszka Radwanska, Steve Johnson and Carolina Garcia.

All three had been using Babolat, but are now playing with different frames. Radwanska and Jiri Vesely have been signed by a Japan-based company, Srixon.

Johnson played in Brisbane with what appears to have been a Yonex, though the company has not officially announced him as one of its players. But two others, Carolina Garcia and Frances Tiafoe, were noted as new signings.

"I was interested in Yonex gear after I saw top players like Stan Wawrinka and Angelique Kerber winning big titles," Garcia said in a statement.

The racquets will all have Yonex strings.
