LONDON—Novak Djokovic says that while former Top 10 player Mario Ancic is joining his team for Wimbledon, they have not discussed a full-time coaching arrangement.

Djokovic added Andre Agassi as a part-time consultant just before the French Open, and is also looking for a full-time coach. Ancic, who is now working in finance, was contacted by Djokovic following a discussion with Agassi.

"We spoke," Djokovic told reporters at a press conference before the tournament. "He said he was coming to London [anyway]. He would be happy to spend some time with Andre and myself during Wimbledon. That's more or less what we talked about."

Djokovic described Ancic as one of the players he was most friendly with when the Croat was on tour.

"We were competitors and rivals, but we always had a tremendous respect and support towards each other," said Djokovic. "We spend a lot of time off the court, speak the same language. Things were very easy for us in terms of communication."

Djokovic and Agassi do not have a formal coaching agreement, and the Serb said he and Ancic have not yet talked about a coaching role beyond the tournament.

"We'll take it a day at a time, see how everything flows during the tournament, see where that takes us," said Djokovic.

Djokovic comes in having won the ATP event in Eastbourne.
