The Davis Cup quarterfinals are underway, and that means Tennis Channel Plus will be loaded with meaningful tennis to watch.

One matchup that we're going to be keeping a particularly close eye on is the United States' quarterfinal tie against Belgium. Which leads us to our TC Plus Match of the Day, Sam Querrey vs. Ruben Bemelmans.

With David Goffin out for the Belgian team, Bemelmans is best player that the country has to offer. Even so, the pressure will be entirely on Querrey, ranked 96 places above Bemelmans in the rankings (No. 14 vs. No. 110). The last time they met, in 2015 in Nice, the big-serving American won, 6-2, 6-3.

Tough Call: Is the ITF going too far with proposed Davis Cup changes?

While Querrey's form isn't exactly at a Top 15 level right now, he did reach the quarterfinals at Indian Wells. His loss came against Milos Raonic, who is looking like his former Top 10 self right now. And in Miami, Querrey lost a close match against Denis Shapovalov in the round of 32. Those aren't bad defeats, but it's not as if Querrey is a lock, even on home soil (indoor hard court).

Bemelmans isn't necessarily playing well lately either. He lost in qualifiers in Miami and suffered a loss to Leonardo Mayer in the round of 64 in Indian Wells. Bemelmans hadn't even qualified for the event, but he was the lucky loser that replaced the injured Kei Nishikori.

The reality is that Querrey's power game proved to be too much for Bemelmans the last time they played one another, and it's hard to imagine that changing on Friday.
