With former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone and former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard part of Tuesday's slate at Roland Garros, star power and qualifying will collide. But we'll be focusing on a potential future star in the Tennis Channel Plus Match of the Day.

If you watched Caroline Dolehide play this March at Indian Wells, you saw one of the WTA's most devastating serves used to great effect against veterans Shelby Rogers, Dominika Cibulkova and Simona Halep. It took the world No. 1 to stop the 19-year-old from claiming another victim at a high-profile tournament, but Dolehide made Halep earn every bit of her 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 third-round win. The young American hits her signature shot with power, spin and—most importantly—confidence. As that continues to grow, so will the effectiveness of her serve and her threat to anyone on tour.

Since Indian Wells, Dolehide successfully qualified for the Volvo Car Open in Charleston, won a main-draw match there, and captured an ITF tournament title. In Madrid, she fell to Bethanie Mattek-Sands in qualifying in three sets. Dolehide is still riding a wave of confidence from Indian Wells, and it will be up to Irina Falconi to stem it. Like Dolehide, Falconi has been meandering around WTA and ITF tournaments this season, but the 28-year-old is at a much different stage of her career.

A berth in the main draw of Roland Garros would mean plenty to both women. For Dolehide, a two-time runner-up in Grand Slam doubles tournaments, is would be a breakthrough; she's never reached a major main draw in singles. For Falconi, it would be a return to the big stage. Last year at this time, she was ranked at a career-high No. 63; currently, she is now down to No. 156.
