Andrey Rublev couldn't have asked for a better start to his 2020 season. The 22-year-old demolished qualifier Lloyd Harris on Saturday, 6-3, 6-0 to win the Adelaide title.

Rublev started his year by winning the trophy in Doha, without the loss of a set. In that final, too, he out-played a qualifier, Corentin Moutet. He now has four career ATP titles, having won one in 2019 (Moscow) and one in 2017 (Umag).

His Doha win granted him entry into the Top 20 for the first time, and now his latest win will propel him on the verge of the Top 15. It's a flawless start, but he might be feeling a little worn out as the Australian Open looms ahead. Rublev was pushed to three grueling sets in the Adelaide semifinals by Felix Auger-Aliassime, and also needed three sets to top Dan Evans in the quarterfinals.

In Melbourne, Rublev will open against 25-year-old Australian wild card Christopher O'Connell.
