A Grand Slam men's doubles champion has taken a job at his local supermarket while the tour is on hiatus.

Kevin Krawietz, who won the 2019 French Open doubles title with Andreas Mies, told *der Speigel* that he's long wanted to have a "normal job" but couldn't while he was on tour.

"This exceptional circumstance has allowed me to do it," he said. "A friend told me this sector was desperately needing people. So I went. I arrange the shelves, sort the empty boxes... disinfect the carts."

The 28-year-old German is still practicing tennis, having got special authorization to use local facilities.

"I still do training three times a week," he said. "I'm fortunate that I can make my hobby my career. My colleagues here, they get up at five in the morning and by 5:30 they are refilling shelves."

Players have not had any pro events to compete in seven weeks.
