Being a chair umpire requires a lot of different skills—from knowing all the rules to communicating with crowds and players and making good overrules.

But one umpire at the Eckental ATP Challenger in Germany went above and beyond, making a line-drive catch worthy of a World Series infielder:

Chair umpire makes outrageous catch at ATP Challenger

"Did you really catch that?!" Alexander Bublik asked. "You were playing baseball in college, right?"

"Maybe I'll try now," the umpire answered, completely unfazed by feat.

But it was Bublik's opponent, Albano Olivetti, who, despite the errant forehand, wound up winning the match and making the quarterfinals.
