In Doha, Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares (who happen to be the world’s No. 1 doubles team) took on the task of interviewing their colleagues at the player party. They started off with none other than fellow No. 1 Andy Murray (who was proudly outfitted in a Muhammad Ali T-shirt).

“Sir Andy Murray these days,” Jamie Murray said, referring to Andy’s recent knighthood, before asking how his younger brother was feeling about the week ahead.

“Feeling good, real good,” Andy said. “Feeling a bit awkward getting interviewed by you though.”

Soares got a few serious answers out of Andy, before the interviewers moved over to Tomas Berdych, who is returning from appendicitis.

The party for the start of the ATP 250 event was quite the spectacle (celebrity interviewers included). It was infiltrated by living statue replicas of past and present players including Novak Djokovic and Boris Becker.

Murray’s Doha campaign has gone smoothly into the semifinals. World No. 2 Djokovic is also through to the semifinals where he faces Fernando Verdasco.
