Medvedev, Muguruza, Fritz, Anisimova and Kyrgios among players featured in new tennis simulator video game "Matchpoint – Tennis Championships"

Thanks to Matchpoint – Tennis Championships, a brand-new tennis simulator published by Kalypso Media and developed by Torus Games, you can begin the journey to reaching the top of your favorite sport, The authentic gaming experience features “unprecedented player control and true-to-life ball physics” and an all-encompassing career mode as users navigate a variety of decision-making skills in their bid to rise up the rankings.

From head to toe, the makeup of your future 3D star is fully customizable. Love the aesthetic nature of a one-handed backhand? Or partial to using a Babolat racquet on court? You make those calls.

You can also take on the likes of Garbiñe Muguruza, Daniil Medvedev, Victoria Azarenka, Carlos Alcaraz, Amanda Anisimova, Taylor Fritz and Nick Kyrgios among 16 current players on tour, or link up for a clash with friends in the game’s fully cross-platform multiplayer.

“For me, I love video games. I’ve been playing video games my whole life. So having my own avatar in a video game is something that’s going to be really cool,” said Fritz. “I’m super excited to get in the game and play, and see myself.”

Added Muguruza, “I feel like if you enjoy tennis, you’re gonna enjoy Matchpoint. I think it will be a lot of fun seeing myself in virtual tennis.”

Matchpoint – Tennis Championships is available now with Game Pass for console and PC and is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles (supported through Smart Delivery), PlayStation 4/5, and Windows PC from today. The title will be out on Nintendo Switch come October 20, 2022.
