“Got Elmo out here taking selfies,” Osaka wrote alongside a photo with the notoriously ticklish Muppet.

Osaka is in the midst of a tennis sabbatical after announcing an indefinite break following the US Open, and looks likely to be using some of the time to appear on the long-running educational children’s program.

Where might Osaka guest star next? Perhaps the four-time major champion will make good on a hilarious Wimbledon moment, when two fans dressed as Teletubbies cheered her on to a win over Katie Boulter back in 2018.
