April 13 is Mamba Day, the time Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant—a.k.a. the Black Mamba—will lace up his shoes for a professional basketball game. His fellow Nike athletes star in a memorable sendoff video:

Bryant, a five-time NBA champion, made many friends and foes during his 20-year career, as the video quite clearly suggests. Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal join Rory McIlroy, Paul George, Russell Wilson, Tiger Woods and others in giving their sendoffs.

But it’s Roger Federer who steals the show, with his emoji obsession coming through yet again.

“I have once used his name as an emoji,” Fed says with a smile. “’Ko-' and then a bee. So it was actually quite funny.”

It makes one wonder what Bryant will say in Federer’s sendoff video, if it ever happens.
