Tennis courts in Queens, New York are getting a facelift thanks to BODYARMOR sports drink and their new partnership with superstar Naomi Osaka.

BODYARMOR Lyte was just announced as the official sports drink of the 2020 US Open, meaning players will be seeing a lot more of it this month.

“BODYARMOR has called Queens home since the brand was founded, and we’re thrilled to be part of the US Open, the most prestigious tennis event in the United States, taking place in our backyard,”said Michael Fedele, BODYARMOR Vice President of Marketing. “This milestone partnership creates a tremendous opportunity for BODYARMOR LYTE Sports Drink to share the court with some of the best athletes in the world—and we are excited to support our incredible partner Naomi, and create a great place for future US Open champions like her to get their start.”

Osaka's childhood courts in Jamaica, Queens will be getting a facelift to help boost tennis in the local community. Queens is the home of the US Open as well as BODYARMOR, and it's where Osaka grew up and where she won her first major at the US Open in 2018.

“This project definitely means a lot to me," the 22-year-old said. "Giving back is so important because I know how lucky I’ve been and how much has been sacrificed to ensure my success.

The world No. 10 will be back at the US Open starting August 31.
