1. Naomi passes on Novak

The two-time Australian Open champion is back Down Under and is one step closer to defending her title. She easily moved past Colombia's Camila Osorio, 6-3, 6-3, in her opening round on Monday. Still a hot topic in the press room, she was asked to give her thoughts on Novak Djokovic's deportation.

Always being true to herself and completely unrehearsed, she's not scared to ask journalists questions herself. This time her response to the Djokovic controversy was deflected in the most elegant of ways.

"Is my opinion going to help anything?," she asked the reporter.

The journalist told Osaka he is only looking to see what other players think of the situation, but still the world No. 14 was not pressed to answer.

"Yeah, I'lll kind of pass on that. Thank, though," she said.

After losing his court challenge on Sunday, the world No.1 was sent back home and arrived in Belgrade on Monday. The Australian government came to the decision to cancel his visa on public health and order grounds. Upon arrival in Serbia, he was greeted by crowds chanting his name and welcoming him back home.

Staying out of the controversial predicament the 34-year-old is currently in, Osaka is focusing on her tennis and overall happiness in Australia. She spoke about a particular turning point after last year's US Open and having some "unfinished business," on the court.

"I was just sitting in my house wondering, like, what do I want to do in the future," she said. "I felt like there's still so many things that I want to do in tennis. I haven't played Wimbledon in, like, two to three years. I want to go back and experience that whole thing.

"It's like a little bit of unfinished business, but also knowing that everything can't be perfect all the time. I accept the fact that I'll have dips, and I need to figure out a way to overcome it."

The world No. 14 will face Madison Brengle next on Wednesday. You'll have to scroll back almost a decade to find when these two squared off back in 2013. The American captured a 6-2, 6-2 win over Osaka at a 25k event.
