While his former colleagues are in action at the BNP Paribas Open, the West Coast was also the best coast Roger Federer this weekend. In the aftermath of Thursday's announcement that the 2025 Laver Cup, of which Federer is the architect, will be held in San Francisco, the Swiss stepped out with the Golden State Warriors and was spotted on the red carpet at the Oscars.

First on Federer's Golden State tour was a trip to the Chase Center, where the Warriors play and the host venue for Team Europe and Team World in 2025, where he visited the team's practice, took aim at the basket himself, and later, watched the team face the visiting San Antonio Spurs from courtside with Warriors' owner Joe Lacob, Lacob's wife Nicole Curran, and poker pro Phil Hellmuth.

At practice, Federer rubbed shoulders with with the team's stars including Steph Curry and Draymond Green, as well as coach Steve Kerr, and found his shooting touch from the free throw line.

"OK, we'll stop—I made four from four!" Federer exclaimed. "That was so lucky!"

(Kerr might've wanted him in his starting five: Golden State lost the game with Federer watching, 126-113.)

Less than 24 hours later, Federer found himself six hours south at Los Angeles' famed Dolby Theatre, which has hosted the Oscars since 2001, for the premiere night in Hollywood honoring the last year in movies. Joined by his wife, Mirka Federer, the 20-time Grand Slam champion dazzled in a white suit jacket and black pants, accessorized with a black bow tie and black shades.

Mirka Federer, meanwhile, was a perfect complement to her husband in a long, black dress with class white collar and buttons, with a white clutch bag.

Federer was previously a guest at the Oscars in 2016 (where he famously took a shot of tequila on the red carpet).

Might we see the Swiss Maestro head even further south to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for some time in Tennis Paradise before the tournament ends?
