It's been 19 years since Venus and Serena Williams first faced off in a tournament final, in the 1999 Miami championship match. Older sister Venus was the defending champion and took out a then-17-year-old Serena, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. It was the years of the beads, remember those?

The Miami showdown was just as the sisters from Compton, Calif. took over the tour, as Serena would claim the first family Grand Slam at the US Open later that year. She has since picked up 22, while Venus has collected seven.

Since Miami, Venus and Serena have met in 10 more finals (eight of which were at Grand Slams). Their final showdown in Melbourne on Saturday will be their first major final against each other since Wimbledon in 2009 (which was also the last time 36-year-old Venus' reached a Grand Slam final).
