Vandeweghe celebrated her 25th birthday with a field trip.

On Tuesday, CoCo Vandeweghe celebrated her 25th birthday in style aboard the USS Nimitz, a United States Navy supercarrier and one of the largest warships in the world.

Compatriot Shelby Rogers joined Vandeweghe for the adventure. The duo got a chance to go behind-the-scenes inside a lifestyle that's very different than their own.

Both top American prospects will be busy focusing back on their own careers, and eyeing the new year with enthusiasm. Vandeweghe will begin 2017 ranked No. 36, while Rogers is 10 spots shy of her career high at No. 59.
