The latest Nike offering will have guys heating up the court in a shoe that’s half an ounce lighter but equally as stable as the previous Vapor. Women, on the other hand, will find themselves left out in the cold with the Lunarlite Speed. The Vapor VI Tour is Nike heritage at its best—comfort, stability and support for tournament-level players. The weight loss comes from Nike Flywire, tiny fibers in the upper that collectively provide lightweight stability, like the many cables that support a suspension bridge. Lunarlite, foam cushioning in the midsole, provides a comfortable ride. Unfortunately, the women’s Lunarlite Speed, the lightest shoe reviewed here, doesn’t match the Vapor for support. Though it also has Flywire, its upper is as pliable as pizza dough.
