How It Tested: The Prestige S and Radical S are sticks with training wheels: lighter and more maneuverable than each of their heavier counterparts, the S series is designed for developing players who are working hard to improve their games but aren’t quite ready for the big time. But while both have pop and move fast through the air—the Radical S. more so than the heavier Prestige S.—they’re not so powerful that they will stymie the development of faster, longer strokes. As one 3.5 playtester noted, “I would recommend this racquet to a strong, young player with a two-handed backhand and short backswings. In the right hands, I could see this being quite a weapon.”
Bottom Line: Great choices for ambitious, developing junior players.
