Head continues to improve its line of tennis sneakers with the Revolt Pro 2.0. The most breathable shoe in this year’s guide includes unparalleled venting—there’s even a removable sticker under the perforated insole that opens the mesh on the outsole. Reviewers enjoyed the “clever idea” and “smart tech.” This sweat-wicking mechanism can create salt lines on the shoe’s upper, however. The medium-weight design comes with solid underfoot cushioning, padding on the collar and a nice level of flexibility. But reviewers noted a lack of stability, and the shoe’s wider construction made a snug fit difficult to attain for those with narrow feet. Expect some stiffness out of the box, both in the midsole and upper, but the shoe will loosen with wear over time. Overall, the Revolt Pro’s updated aesthetics were widely praised and it’s a comfortable option for beginners and advanced players. Regardless of your skill level, if you need breathability in a shoe, this is the one you’ll want in your bag.
