Yonex has packed new technology into the Power Cushion Light. The new Quattro Fit feature tapers the heel for a more contoured fit. This bolsters the attached tongue and the shoe’s select fit system, which places plastic grommets over the middle and top eyelets, enabling you to customize a closer fit. An outer strap surrounds the mid-shoe area, sealing it all in. While weartesters enjoyed the shoe’s performance, its stiffness and lack of ventilation disappointed some. This shoe is best suited for players who require good support, particularly in the mid-foot area, or those who’ve experienced arch issues in the past. It’s a stiffer shoe, so you may sacrifice some comfort, but you will gain stability and fit in a light-weight shoe that provides more padding than past Power Cushion entries. This is a unisex shoe (weartesters for this model were men) and while most online retailers carry the shoe starting at size 6, Yonex says specialty and pro shops do order sizes smaller than 6 for women and juniors.
