MATT FITZGERALD: Roger Federer

With another Halle title under his belt and a kind draw, Federer’s shot at major No. 21 and a ninth Wimbledon crown doesn’t get much better than this.

STEVE FLINK: Novak Djokovic

Although he faces some potentially difficult tests from Auger-Aliassime in the round of 16 and Tsitsipas in the quarters, Djokovic will successfully defend his title.

CALE HAMMOND: Roger Federer

If Federer ever wins another major, it will probably have to be over the next two weeks.

ED MCGROGAN: Roger Federer

He shouldn't face any resistance until the second week, when it will get tough quickly. Nadal is no sure thing to emerge from his quarter—and I think this year, Federer finally turns the tables on Djokovic in a Grand Slam final.

ASHLEY NDEBELE: Rafael Nadal

He hasn’t won Wimbledon since 2010 and he was bumped down to the No. 3 seed. But he did come close to reaching last year’s final, and he just won a major.

NINA PANTIC: Novak Djokovic

He’s got to feel great about his draw, with Federer and Nadal left in the bottom half. The defending champion will be hard to stop.

JORDAAN SANFORD: Roger Federer

The eight-time Wimbledon champion is fresh off capturing his tenth Halle title and plays some of his best tennis at this tournament. This year will be no different.

STEVE TIGNOR: Novak Djokovic

Djokovic specializes in taking disappointment in Paris and turning it into redemption at Wimbledon. He has a chance to do it for a fifth time this year.

ALEX FAUST: Novak Djokovic

After a bit of a hiccup post-Australian Open, has there been any reason (other than Nadal’s sorcery on red clay) to question Djokovic’s reign as world No. 1? His athleticism, ability to improvise and impeccable all-around game led him to the title last year, so why not make it back-to-back?

JOEL DRUCKER:Novak Djokovic

Look for the title holder to be exquisitely organized and smother opponents with footwork as only he can.

JON WERTHEIM:Novak Djokovic

The defending champ has won 26 of his last 27 matches at majors.

MATT FITZGERALD: Nick Kyrgios

Kyrgios loves to challenge haters, and the Big 3. With a chance to face Nadal in round two at an event that doesn’t ‘suck’, the Australian will be roaring to go.

STEVE FLINK: Gilles Simon

The No. 20 seed nearly won at the Queen’s Club and is always a challenge on grass.

CALE HAMMOND: Nick Kyrgios

The enigmatic Kyrgios skipped part of the clay season to “train” on the grass. He would love to shock the world with a deep run here.

ED MCGROGAN: Stan Wawrinka

After Djokovic, he might be the favorite to come out of the draw's top half. Against anyone else, would you bet against Stan? The low-bouncing surface, as always, remains a problem for his backhand.

ASHLEY NDEBELE: Kyle Edmund

The Brit is turning his season around at just the right time in Eastbourne, and will be hungry to avenge his Queen's Club loss to Tsitsipas should they meet again.

NINA PANTIC: Dan Evans

The Brit has been playing confident tennis on grass, putting together a 12-2 record this year, including two ATP Challenger titles. He has been in the fourth round of a Slam before and could do it again.

JORDAAN SANFORD: Feliciano Lopez

He just won his first title of the year in London, knocking out two Top 15 players. Although unseeded, he’s peaking and has the weapons and feel at net to go far.

STEVE TIGNOR: Jan-Lennard Struff

The 6’5” German is just 3-6 at Wimbledon, but he has improved in 2019, and his heavy artillery should be effective on grass.

ALEX FAUST: Stan Wawrinka

I loved how fit Stan looked in the claycourt season. An early loss at Queen's Club notwithstanding, it wouldn’t be a shock to have Stan The Man make a deep run. He’s a two-time quarterfinalist at Wimbledon, the only major he’s yet to win.

JOEL DRUCKER:Stan Wawrinka

His legend made, his game solid, here’s yet another case of a Swiss Slam champion aging well.

JON WERTHEIM:David Goffin

MATT FITZGERALD: Kevin Anderson

Lacking match fitness, Anderson faces a tricky opener in Herbert and has the pressure of defending finalist points from his terrific run a year ago.

STEVE FLINK: Kevin Anderson

The No. 4 seed is not going past the fourth round this year. He may even lose to Herbert in the first round.

CALE HAMMOND: Dominic Thiem

Playing on his worst surface, the Austrian may very well lose in the first round to 2017 semifinalist Querrey.

ED MCGROGAN: Kevin Anderson

Just not enough match play heading into the summer Slam. Isner is another option; the two semifinalists from 2018 have combined to play two matches since Miami.

ASHLEY NDEBELE: Alexander Zverev

Given his on-court woes this season, it won’t be a surprise if the sixth-seeded German is upset early.

NINA PANTIC: John Isner

It’s great to see the top American back, but even with his serve, life will be tough right out of the gates. He’s got the rising youngster Ruud, who will play with no fear.

JORDAAN SANFORD: Alexander Zverev

The last three years he’s been out by the round of 16 or sooner. While Zverev can certainly beat any top player, his attitude can sometimes get the best of him and he is yet to show his full potential at the majors.

STEVE TIGNOR: Rafael Nadal

Rafa got the draw he didn’t want: He’ll likely meet Kyrgios, who beat him here in 2014, in the second round.

ALEX FAUST: Kevin Anderson

Two things make this a potentially short stay for the big man in London: his form didn’t look all that convincing at Queen's Club, in his first match after elbow trouble sidelined him through the clay-court season. The second? His first-round opponent, Herbert, is a tricky one on grass, having made the semis in Halle two weeks ago.

JOEL DRUCKER:Dominic Thiem

After throwing his heart and soul into the first half of the year, it’s hard to see this great Austrian’s game scaling effectively on the grass—at least this year.

JON WERTHEIM:Fabio Fognini

Starts with Tiafoe and his career record at Wimbledon is 12-10.
