After Francesca Schiavone crushed her at Roland Garros, 6-2, 6-1, top French player Marion Bartoli, who has not won three consecutive matches this season, admits to being totally out of sort.

“Maybe I'm paying for the fact that I haven't done many matches since the beginning of the year,” she said. “It's true that in big tournaments such as this, it's all about match management. And if I had a day off in between my previous match and this one, maybe I could have sorted things out in my head. But the beginning of my season was what I had, but I can't just redo things. I can't go back to the first of January. I have to accept how things are now and adapt myself to that. At a given point in time, really, I didn't know what to do. I was at a loss. I didn't know which segments of the court I should put the ball in. I was hesitating on each ball to strike, and that became very bothersome.”
