Eugenie Bouchard says she is not ready to share whether or not she will play the Australian Open.

The 21-year-old has not completed a match since withdrawing with a concussion at the U.S. Open, after she slipped and fell in the locker room. The Canadian, now ranked No. 48, is suing the USTA.

"I'm okay, thank you," when asked about her condition by Canadian local broadcaster CP24 during a Nike appearance. "I'm really looking forward to being healthy and playing next year, and it's a process.

"I don't know yet [about Australia]. I don't want to make any comments or commitments in terms of that. But every day I'm doing my best to try and get healthy."

Bouchard had had a tough season going into the U.S. Open, where she had reached the fourth round for her best showing at a major since reaching the quarterfinals at the Australian Open. She returned to competition in Beijing, but retired in the first round.

"I've learned a lot," she said. "And to definitely have some sort of patience. I'm an impatient person, so that was tough. And to always believe, believe and stay true to yourself."

Bouchard reached a career-high No. 5 ranking in 2014.
